Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Bruce Mark.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started the practice in 2009, and then bought and merged with another practice in 2010, I then was joined by Dr. Simon in 2013 who is an orthopedic surgeon. My goal was to create a multi-discipline practice where we could treat all types and severity of injuries or disease in one place. So if a patient had a sports injury, car accident, work related injury, or even issues due to aging they would be able to have a one-stop solution.
We wanted create a personal and easy environment for people to get the help they seek.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There are always challenges with growing a medical practice. The challenges have been more with infrastructure and dealing with evolving and ever changing insurance guidelines and restrictions.
When trying to create Patient Centered Care the challenge is not to let the patients get drawn into the red tape of medical practice management.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Broward Medical and Rehab – what should we know?
At Broward Medical and Rehab we offer a comprehensive range of orthopedic specialty services dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, surgery and treatment of injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system – bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, and tendons. We are dedicated to providing superior quality for all patients for varying conditions. We offer and are experienced at chiropractic care and holistic solutions. The benefit of our practice is that if someone’s health concerns require more than just a holistic and natural treatment, we can coordinate care with our medical team to facilitate an easy transition from one service to the other.
In most scenarios, a patient might have to go to one office for a chiropractor and then find out they need an orthopedist, and have to start the process all over again. We make it easier for our patients to get the care they require in one place.

Approachability and empathy.
We really care about our patients, and we have had the problems that most of our patients have faced.
